Finish Strong In 2008
December 4, 2008
Scott Wilson here, a friend sent me this great 3 minute video yesterday and as soon as I watched it I knew you deserved to see it as well.
First though let me tell you a little story about why I think this video is really timely right now. Ok over the last few weeks I’ve been meeting with a number of different business owners and consultants which is pretty normal for me.
What’s been interesting though is the vibe I’ve been picking up from some of these business owners. It seems to me that some of them have given up on 2008 and they’re now just hoping for a better 2009.
They’re making comments like… "We’re just trying to get through until the end of the year." … "We’re hoping 2009 will bring a change in things."
Ok you know me so I’ll be straight up here… "This type of thinking is rubbish!" and it won’t help your business one bit.
And that’s why I’ve sent you this short 3 minute video to watch

You see 2008 isn’t over – you have time to finish strong. Don’t be like the crowd, who always give up early.
Hey by the way just so you know I’m not just talking the talk here, like most people. I’m finishing strong in 2008 as well. In fact on the 30th November I set a 30 day challenge for myself to reach a certain business goal.
Maybe you can do the same? But first watch the video because you deserve to finish strong in 2008.

Online Marketing – 3 Tools From Google You Must Use
December 2, 2008
Here’s why I love Google from an online marketing business point of view… FREE TOOLS!
That’s right Google gives you lots of free tools to use to make your web site more profitable and more relevant to it’s customers.
Which if youthink about is a good thing because if you get your web site to the point where it’s Google friendly for your particular subject then it’s most probably going to rank well in their search engine.
And considering the Google has over a 65% market share in the search engine game it pays to listen to what they want you to do.
With that said here 3 tools from Google that you want to be using on your businesses web site.
1. Google Analytics – This is a great tool that allows you to learn more about where your visitors come from and how they interact with your site. You’ll get the information you need to write better ads, strengthen your marketing initiatives, and create higher-converting websites.

2. Google Webmaster Tools – is a great too that provides you with detailed reports about your pages’ visibility on Google. To get started, simply add and verify your site and you’ll start to see information right away. Get Google’s view of your site and diagnose problems, Discover your link and query traffic, Share information about your site

3. Google Base - This is another great free Google service that helps you publish virtually any kind of information — be it your latest book on "Winning at Poker" or a listing for your beloved 4 cylinder step-thru motorbike. Bascially Google Base allows you to publish your information for inclusion in Google search results. How cool is that?

So what are you waiting for go grab a Google acount today and use these free tools to your businesses advantage.
