Collecting Name & Email Address

August 27, 2009

“Capture The Name & Email Address Of Your Prospects & Customers”

Can you imagine being able to market your products and services to your prospects (and customers) for free?

Just imagine… no media costs bleeding you dry… no slimy advertising reps to deal with… no marketing expenses at all…

Wouldn’t that be a dream?

Well, if you collect the name and email address of people that visit your website that’s exactly what you can do!

Whenever you want to advertise — whether you’re having a sale, introducing a new product line, or just want to remind people about your services — you simply send out a single email and instantly it goes out to everyone on your mailing list.

Not only that, you’ll also be building a very valuable asset for your business.

Many business owners do not realize this, but the real value of their business is actually the list of customers they have built up over the years. After all, your customers are the lifeblood of your business, and a business with a big list of customers can “tap into” that lifeblood at any time.

Need to make some quick sales to hit your targets for the month?

Just send an email to your mailing list with a special offer! It virtually costs you nothing to do and is in your customers hands in a few minutes.

As you can imagine, capturing the name and email address of everyone that visits your website is a very powerful tactic. And the biggest mistake I see most businesses making online is not doing this.

Anyway, capturing the name and email address of your prospects and customers is very easy to do, and I’ll show you some low-cost software that will automate the whole process for you — even sending emails for you while you sleep!

Once you start building your mailing list and fire off your first few emails… and see the orders start coming in automatically… you’ll be hooked.

Why Your Marketing Sucks!

Why Your Marketing Sucks!

lf you’ve ever wondered why your marketing or advertising doesn’t make you any money then watch this video. It will make money if not I’ll buy you lunch… guaranteed!

P.S. Seriously the 3 things you’ll discover on this video will change your marketing forever!

Did you know there are two kinds of websites?

May 23, 2009

Did you know there are two different types of websites?

It’s true. There are “branding” websites and there are “direct response” websites.

Branding websites try to build the “brand” of a business. They aim to “create brand awareness” and “generate brand loyalty”. The theory is that if a customer sees your “brand” enough times they will eventually buy something off you.

The problem is creating a brand takes time & money… and there are no guarantees it will actually work.

Remember the “dot com” bust?

Many of the companies that went bust were trying to build a brand. They built “branding” websites. But they ran out of cash before anyone started buying anything.

Now, the other type of website is a direct response website.

Direct response websites are designed to get people to respond right away, either to order a product, subscribe to a mailing list, phone your business… or any other action you want someone to take.

They focus on getting an action NOW.

For businesses where cash flow is important, having a direct response website can be the difference between a website that generates thousands of dollars every month, and one that collects cyber-dust and never makes a cent.

So what exactly is a direct response website?

Any website that is designed and written to elicit a response from someone can be classified as a direct response website. Typically direct response websites are copy-intensive, using as many words as needed to “sell” the person on taking the desired action. The more important the decision is for the person, the more words are needed to sell them on making it.

The core principle behind direct response websites is the old sales and marketing saying, “the more you tell, the more you sell.”

How to create a direct response website:

*** First you determine who your prospect is. Who are they? What pain are they looking to alleviate? What pleasure are they looking to heighten? What are they really looking for?

*** Next you match up the benefits of what you provide with the benefits your prospects desire.

*** Then you define exactly what you want your prospect to do. Do you want them to order your product online? Call to book an appointment? Submit a form asking for more information?

*** Finally you write and design your website so that it speaks directly to your prospect and asks them to take action. It leads them to the conclusion that taking the action you want them to take is the most logical choice for them to solve their problems and achieve their goals. And you tell them exactly what action they must take.

Once you’ve designed and worded your site in this manner, almost like magic your prospects will start taking the action you want them to.

They will see that you understand them and their unique problems. They will follow the path you have paved for them. And when you ask them to take action… to buy your product… to call you… to subscribe to your mailing list… they will.

Are Marketing With A Hammer?

January 27, 2009

Are You Marketing Your Business With Just A Hammer?

Hi Scott Wilson here and today I have a really interesting question for you.

You see in the last few weeks I’ve been running a direct mail campaign to a select group of business owners. So far it’s been a very interesting and productive marketing campaign. (I’ll probably share some results with you once the 8 week campaign has finished.)

However I’m just two weeks into this campaign and I’m uncovering a trend which 90% of the businesses I that have spoken to have in common.

And the trend is… "90% of the businesses are marketing their businesses with only a hammer."

What do I mean by this? Well, if you need to hang a picture or build a fence then you’d probably use a hammer.

Right?

But if you needed to paint a fence you wouldn’t use a hammer. You’d use a paint brush.

However some business owners are using a hammer (one marketing tool) to do the jobs that other marketing tools would be more effective in doing.

Sadly this is one of the reasons why some most business owners fail at marketing their businesses. It’s also why they see marketing as a cost and not as an investment.

You see when direct response marketing is implemented correctly it is an investment. In fact it is my belief that any money you spend on marketing your business should eventually be self-funding. Which means your marketing should actually be making you more money than your investing.

Listen closely because in just two weeks of in-the-market data I’ve discover that most businesses are replying on either just their website or just a radio campaign, or just their yellow pages ad, or just a networking event to bring in new business and to communicate with their existing customers.

If you’re doing this in your business then I want you to know you’re leaving a lot of possible cash flow on the table. That’s right you’re losing money because you’re marketing with a hammer when you should be using a paint brush or a screwdriver depending on the outcome you’re trying to achieve.

However, if you’ve been a customer or a list member of Leads and Profits for a while then you know I’m never one to open a problem up and then never provide a solution.

So I have some good news for you because in two weeks time I’m going to releasing my new "Cash Flow Focus 09" — Your Complete Business Marketing System Program.

This is a complete done-for-you direct response online and offline marketing program that will only be open to 5 businesses. (And yes 5 only means 5 — I sent money back to people who were too late on my "Website Warrant of Fitness" offer and I’ll do the same again with this offer as well.)

However the good news for you is as part of pre-launch I’m going to send 3 videos that will give you some better marketing tools.

You can freely use this profit generating information I’m going to share with you to generate cash flow for your business.

Best of all each video is about 7 minutes long and is targeted to give you information that you can use today no matter what business you’re in. Also to be fair these videos are a little self-serving because I know if you use the information and make a profit from them then you’ll probably want to be one of the 5 businesses that qualifies to work with me.

It’s a win/win!

However this is important — please don’t feel there’s any pressure on you to join my program after watching these videos because there’s not.

My list of contacts is big enough that I know this done-for-you business marketing program will sell out. But first I just want to deliver to you amazing content that you can profit from.

Ok enough for today — look out for your first 7 minute video coming this Thursday.

It will be called "The Boomerang Strategy"

Until then have fun & take action

Testing and Measuring Pays Off

January 20, 2009

"Why Testing and Measuring Your Business Marketing Pays Off — Big Time!"

Dear Business Owner,

Scott Wilson here,  wow hard to believe 2009 is 20 days old already. Seriously where does time go these days?

In today’s email I’m going to share with you some testing and measuring results from my own business including showing you a sales letter that’s converting at 8.62%.

If you own an online or offline business this is going to be a good marketing lesson and one you can implement in your own business pretty easy.

Firstly though I have a quick question for you. Do you actually test and measure your business marketing efforts?

You see yesterday I sent all the customers that have brought my new product “2009 Cash Flow Creator” Pack a copy of my “Marketing Tracking Spreadsheet”. I personally use this “Marketing Tracking Spreadsheet” to track and measure what’s working and what’s not in my marketing.

I don’t know about you, but I used to get so frustrated at not really know if my marketing was working. Well that all changed as soon as I started tracking it. In fact it gave me back my focus because very quickly in just a matter of weeks I could see where I was getting the best return for my marketing dollars.

Have you ever felt a little confused about whether your marketing and advertising efforts are really working?

If have then start today by asking everyone who contacts your business “How did they hear about us?” — Do this for a month and you’ll soon get a picture of where and how customers are finding you.

Sounds simple and it is but most businesses don’t do it.

Ok here are some testing results from my new “2009 Cash Flow Creator” product — the sales letter for this product is converting at 8.62%. Which means for every 100 visitors I get to this sales page I generate 8.62 sales.

You can see the sales letter by clicking this link — http://tinyurl.com/8gn8yw

My average dollar sale is $253 because I’m actually offering 2 packages which means some customers invest in the silver package at $197 and some invest in the gold package at $347. (Quick tip: if you’re selling anything always offer your customers options as some customers will always want to invest in the more expensive option because of the better value it represents to them.)

Here’s the kicker though — I’m split testing the headlines on both sales pages and one sales page is converting 4 times better than the other. And the only thing difference on the 2 sales page are the headlines.

You see unless I tested this I could have been potentially throwing money away without even knowing it. However testing and measuring headlines gives me the power to know what’s working and what’s not — this is when marketing and writing sales copy gets fun.

Once I’ve found the headline that sales the most,  I’ll start testing price — which basically means I’ll put the price up until sales slow down.

Check out this sales page and see if you can see why it’s converting at 8.62%. — better still grab yourself a copy of “2009 Cash Flow Creator” products and use it to make your business some much need cash flow in 2009.

Finish Strong In 2008

December 4, 2008

Scott Wilson here, a friend sent me this great 3 minute video yesterday and as soon as I watched it I knew you deserved to see it as well.

First though let me tell you a little story about why I think this video is really timely right now. Ok over the last few weeks I’ve been meeting with a number of different business owners and consultants which is pretty normal for me.

What’s been interesting though is the vibe I’ve been picking up from some of these business owners. It seems to me that some of them have given up on 2008 and they’re now just hoping for a better 2009.

They’re making comments like… "We’re just trying to get through until the end of the year." … "We’re hoping 2009 will bring a change in things."

Ok you know me so I’ll be straight up here… "This type of thinking is rubbish!" and it won’t help your business one bit.

And that’s why I’ve sent you this short 3 minute video to watch

http://www.ncfinishstrongmovie.com/1

You see 2008 isn’t over – you have time to finish strong. Don’t be like the crowd, who always give up early.

Hey by the way just so you know I’m not just talking the talk here, like most people. I’m finishing strong in 2008 as well. In fact on the 30th November I set a 30 day challenge for myself to reach a certain business goal.

Maybe you can do the same? But first watch the video because you deserve to finish strong in 2008.
